I'm so sorry I haven't been able to post regularly lately.

Unfortunately, I have been very ill. I am having a great deal of trouble with my eyes and vision among other things. This means very little or no reading, so there is no deal hunting for me.

Of course, I'd love to have any positive thoughts or prayers you could send our way. We are awaiting quite a few test results and I'll be meeting with a specialist/surgeon this upcoming week. While I'm confident in my doctors, the fear of the unknown is always the worst.

My husband, family, and friends have been the best taking care of me and the kids - but I'm hoping and praying I can be back to my old self in no time.

Until then, I hope you'll understand.

I can't wait to be back to bringing you all the best deals as soon as possible.

Did you eat breakfast this morning? Feed your family dinner last night? This is a small thing that I'm so grateful for. Hunger is a real problem in Amercia.

As of 2009, more than 50 million Americans live in food in-secure homes. More than 50 million?! In America?! This is a real issue, folks - but today you can help.

Today (5/14) is the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. Just place some non-perishable food items in a bag and leave it at your mailbox today. Your letter carrier will pick it up for you and deliver it to local food banks or pantries.

It's that easy - you don't even have to leave your home!

Another great reason why I love couponing is that it allows our family to give back more. Our pantry is full, and our wallets aren't quite as empty as they used to be - so giving back is easier than ever.

We've already packed up our bag. Have you?

This is about as easy as it gets! First, spray down your slow cooker with Pam -trust me, it will make clean-up much cleaner! Then add your chicken, barbecue sauce, and juice from the pineapple and cook on low for 4-6 hours. During the last hour or two of cooking, add pineapple and green pepper. Serve over rice.

Totally optional - but I always take the skin off of the chicken before making this recipe (it's just a little to greasy for my taste if I leave it on).
